Liability for Contents

Although the contents of our websites have been compiled with the greatest possible care, we cannot assume any responsibility for the correctness, completeness, and up-to-date nature of the contents.

By general law, we as content providers are responsible for the "internal contents", which we provide for use. A distinction must be made between these internal contents and cross references ("links") to contents offered by other providers. Via those cross references we also make "external contents" available for use. We are only responsible for these external contents if we have any knowledge of them and especially of any unlawful or criminal contents, and insofar as it is technically possible and reasonable for us to prevent the use of said contents.

Cross references are always "living" (dynamic) references. At the time a link is established for the first time, we have examined the external content as to whether it entails any responsibility in terms of civil or criminal law. However, we are not obliged to continually examine the contents to which it refers in its offer for changes that might re-establish such responsibility. Only when we determine or it is pointed out to us by other persons that a tangible offer to which we have provided a link will cause responsibility in terms of civil or criminal law, will we cancel the reference to this offer, to the extent that this is technically possible and reasonable.
