Model of a Cross-Section of a Wheat-Grain as an Example of a Caryopsis

Triticum aestivum L., model enlarged approx. 75 times, made in SOMSO-Plast®. After Prof. Dr. W. Jung. The model demonstrates a wheat-grain divided in half lengthways. The embryo can be removed. The cell layers of the fused fruit and seed shell are represented in cross-section, longitudinal and surface section. The remainer of the pistil pulvinus with the "awns" is located at the tip, opposite the basal germinal layer. Model separates into 2 parts, on a stand with green base and explanatory key.
